How it Started:

Racing in the Junior Olympics

Nate Johnson has been competing at a young age. When he was eight, Nate got the bronze in the 100m and 200m. While he got the gold in the long jump. It's important to mention that this was his first year running competitively.

How it's going:

Still moving forward with purpose

Nate still juggled track while playing football. His senior year, he became central section championship in the 100 meter dash. Earned CIF Central Section Athlete of the Year for his football and track accomplishments in 2020-21. Competed in the Elite 11 as well as the All-American Under Armour Football game. Now Nate has set his eyes on bigger goals and pursues them with the Utah Utes.

Family First

Nate Johnson is the youngest of his three older brothers. Part of what makes Nate so fast is that he has always pushed himself to keep up with his competitive brothers. Nate along with Jonathan and Cory would watch Jerome lead his teammates as captain of the Beverly Hills High School varsity basketball team when they were kids. Nate would learn how to be tough from his brother Cory as Cory rose to the ranks of Varsity at Clovis High School. Jonathan would also go onto play varsity at Clovis High School, teaching Nate the importance of teamwork. Nate and Jonathan also had the pleasure of playing Varsity with each other in high school. Nate has been in good company to learn valuable lessons both on and off the football field.

Father Figure

Nate's father, Jerome Johnson, Sr. has supported him every step of the way on Nate's journey. From watching football, attending football games, practices, track races all while having Nate involved in his local church on Sundays. Jerome Sr. is a former basketball athlete of the Oklahoma Sooners and Utah State Aggies. If there is one lesson Nate has taken to heart from his father is to always keep God first.

Nate Off The Field

Outside of Nate's daily responsibilities, Nate is into fashion. Seeing how his brother Jonathan stayed well dressed it rubbed off on Nathan. Nate is also a gamer. He's a fan of 2K Sports, Fortnite and Kingdom Hearts to name a few games. Despite all the success and attention sports has gotten Nate. Nate is just as approachable before all the medals and accolades came. The cool kid who anyone could talk to since he also was Homecoming King his Senior year of high school.
